Vox’s parliamentary group has proposed an amendment to allow the use of co-official languages in parliamentary activities, which will be discussed in the Congress of Deputies today.

The far-right party has criticized the use of languages other than Spanish in parliamentary debates, arguing that it violates the constitutional right to representative function and attacks the unity of Spain.

PP will also present an amendment on the use of languages other than Spanish in the lower house today.

The official recognition of regional languages in the Cortes was part of a post-election agreement between PSOE and regional parties.
