Pedro Sanchez unveils new cabinet
Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced his new cabinet, with Nadia Calvino retaining her position as economy minister and first deputy prime minister.
Calvino is leading negotiations for a new package of fiscal rules in the eurozone.
The cabinet includes the majority of senior ministers remaining in their positions, whilst finance Minister Maria Jesus Montero will be promoted to one of the four deputy prime ministers.
Cabinet Minister Felix Bolanos will assume responsibility for the justice portfolio to implement the amnesty law, and Ana Redondo will replace Irene Montero as the equality minister.
The cabinet consists of twelve women and ten men, with a total of twenty-two people, including nine new faces.
