Tributes have been paid after an 18-year-old British man died after falling from a hotel balcony in Lanzarote.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident which took place in Costa Teguise in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The teenager was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, but was declared dead after undergoing emergency treatment. Initial reports have pointed to the death being an accident.
Guardia Civil have confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Meteorological agency Aemet issued a series of yellow weather warnings for the coming days due to the heatwave.
