Seven feared dead after boat sinks near to Lanzarote

Coast guards in Lanzarote are searching for a number of people after a boat carrying fifty migrants sank around 78 kilometers off the coast of the Canary Island.

41 people were pulled out of the water by a Moroccan fishing vessel that was nearby, with coastguards rescuing a further two who had fallen into the water.

Three men, three women and a four-year-old child are feared to have drowned after the boat sank on Sunday afternoon.
