Members of the Congress of Deputies will begin their debates today to vote on whether Alberto Núñez Feijóo should become the next prime minister.

Following weeks of negotiations, members of the Spanish parliament will vote on whether Mr. Feijóo can form a government, or if the keys of power will remain in the hands of PSOE and Pedro Sanchez.

The vote is widely expected to fail however, with PP not expected to gain a majority in the lower house.

The House will then decide if they will support the nomination of another leader – namely Mr. Sanchez – or trigger another General Election.
