Pedro Sánchez’s Negotiations To Form A Government Intensify
Negotiations for the upcoming investiture vote for Pedro Sánchez continue, with the acting Prime Minister saying the talks are facing complexity.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the PSOE leader confirmed that he has met with various political parties, excluding Vox, and progress has been made – however the agreements remain confidential.
Failure to form a government by November twenty-seventh could trigger new elections, while EH Bildu supports the PSOE, other parties’ positions remain unclear.
ERC and Junts demand concessions for Catalonia, PNV requires negotiations, and PP, Vox, and UPN oppose Sánchez.
PSOE’s stance on a Catalan amnesty is expected in the coming days, as the negotiations on the formation of a coalition government continue.
