Arrests made after Vox-led protests outside of PSOE offices
There’s been another night of disruption in cities across the country after Vox led protests against a possible amnesty for Catalan separatists.
Monday night saw three people arrested following scuffles with riot police.
The arrests occurred following protests which turned violent on Monday night in front of the national headquarters of PSOE. Over 3,800 protesters waved Spanish flags and clashed with police in riot gear.
Speaking after the incident yesterday, government spokesperson and Minister of Territorial Policy – Isabel Rodriguez – demanded a condemnation of attacks from the leader of Partido Popular – Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
Similar protests were carried out in Barcelona, Valencia, and Valladolid, which were understood to be led by a youth group associated with the far-right Vox party.
