Victims group call for parties to not use terror for political point-scoring

Victims groups supporting those who survived terror attacks have criticised right-wing parties for using them to score political points ahead of this months General Election.

In an open letter released on Tuesday by the Collective of Victims of Terrorism (COVITE), they called on all political parties to stop referring to the members of terrorist groups and their victims in an effort to criticise political opponents.

However, a number of politicians from right-wing parties including PP and Vox have rebuffed the comments, saying that free speech should be respected.
