Heatwave conditions expected to continue into this week

Heatwave conditions are set to continue for the next few days, with much of the Iberian peninsular under red, amber or yellow weather warnings.

Aemet has issued a number of warnings for extreme heat over the first few days of this week, with areas in the south west and north east expected to see temperatures reach 43ºC.

Meanwhile at the weekend it was confirmed by European Space Agency that satellites had recorded a record breaking land surface temperature of 60ºC in parts of Extremadura.
