Post offices announce extended opening hours for postal votes

Post Offices will open over the weekend to handle people who wish to post their votes by mail, Correos has announced.

Offices will open their doors on Saturday between 9am and 9pm, and on Sunday from 9am to 2pm.

Earlier this week they confirmed that over 20,000 extra staff will be on hand over the next fortnight to handle the increase in postal ballots expected in the next week.

Offices will also remain open until later on Thursday, with many not planning to close until 8pm.
