Government releases fuel reserves to aid essential services

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has provided further updates following the latest emergency cabinet meeting.

The government has activated measures to ensure fuel supply security, releasing that three days’ worth of strategic reserves of petroleum products would be released for generators, particularly for essential services such as hospitals, even though he noted that no immediate need currently exists for this action.

Mr. Sanchez confirmed that while the situation is stable, proactive steps are essential to prevent future interruptions.
