Police smash Ceuta people smuggling ring
Policía Nacional has dismantled two organisations accused of illegally transporting migrants from Ceuta to mainland Spain.
Five people have been arrested in two investigations carried out in Ceuta and La Línea de la Concepción, in Cádiz province.
Investigators say the networks used small boats to transport migrants across the Strait and charged up to 9,000 euros for the journeys.
In one operation, officers intercepted a boat carrying seven migrants that was reportedly experiencing difficulties at sea.
