Prospect of second election looms as support for PP withers
The prospect of a second General Election this year is looming, after the PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo was told that he is unlikely secure a majority during next months investiture vote.
Yesterday Basque nationalist party PNV officially confirmed that they would not be engaging in talks between the two parties, and they would not be supporting a PP led government.
Currently only Vox has said they will support a Feijóo led administration, whilst other parties have yet to formally announce their intention either to abstain or vote against a PP headed government.
PP and Vox failed to gain a majority between them on Sundays General Election, only securing 169 seats between them, 7 short of the number needed to gain a majority.
