Policia Nacional have smashed a drug smuggling operation that was shipping cocaine to the UK via Spain – confiscating over 400 kilograms of the drug in the process.
The drugs were intercepted after being driven from Galicia to storage in Madrid.
Officers raided a warehouse that contained the shipment and impounded it before it’s onward transport to the UK.
A Spanish-British criminal gang is understood to be responsible, and officers have said arrests are imminent.
