Tragic Outcome in Alicante Standoff

A twenty-five-year-old man has taken his own life following a standoff lasting over thirty-five hours in Agost near to Alicante.

At approximately twelve forty-five yesterday afternoon, police heard a gunshot from inside the home on Calle Fermín Sánchez, prompting immediate entry where they discovered the man’s body.

No other injuries were reported in the incident.

Friends and family of the decease have offered their condolences, whilst the local ayuntamiento has issued their support for the family.
