Tourism employment levels break records in February

Tourism employment figures have seen their best February on record, as the sector recorded 2.46 million people employed in tourist related jobs.

In the latest Turespaña data, the number of INE contributions in relation to jobs in tourism rose 6.7% compared to the same period the year before.

The Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands were the regions which saw the largest increase in staffing levels, with Andalusia, Madrid and the Valencian Community also showing significant increases in worker numbers.
