Spain goes green for St. Patricks Day
Landmarks across Spain will be turning a shade of green today to mark St Patricks day.
The Puerta de Alcalá and the Cibeles fountain in Madrid will be lit green in celebration of the cultural and historical connections between Spain and Ireland.
As well as national landmarks turning green, many local landmarks such as town halls are expected to light up a shade of green to mark the day.
Whilst many planned parades across the region have been cancelled, the Irish embassy will be hosting a series of online events in honour of the patron saint of Ireland.
