Man Sentenced to Six Years for Murder of Ex-Partner

A man has been sentenced to six years in prison for the drug-fuelled murder of his ex-partner in Madrid.

The court found that the crime involved excessive violence, but the sentence was reduced due to the attacker’s state of mind caused by drug consumption.

In addition to the prison term, he will receive ten years of supervised release and must pay a compensation of one hundred thirty thousand euros to the victim’s family.
