Luis Rubiales resigns as president of Spanish Football Federation

Luis Rubiales, former president of the Spanish Football Federation, has resigned following criticism for kissing Jenni Hermoso without her consent.

Hermoso filed a legal complaint against Rubiales last week, leading to his resignation.

He released a statement saying he had submitted his resignation to the federation’s acting president Pedro Rocha on Sunday.

Rubiales has also stepped down from his position as vice president of UEFA’s executive committee.
