Investigation Underway After Tragic Death of Two-Year-Old in Murcia

A two year old girl has died after an electric shock at a fairground attraction in Alquerías, Murcia.

Three other children were injured but remained conscious.

The three injured children, including an eight-year-old girl and two boys aged eleven and twelve, were treated onsite and later taken to hospital.

Emergency services were alerted shortly after midnight on Sunday to reports of a number of people suffering from electric shocks.

Despite efforts to save the child, she was declared dead at the scene.

The attraction has been sealed off as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Alcalde of Murcia has declared three days of mourning and suspended local festivities in light of the tragedy.
