Height restrictions relaxed for new military recruits

The Ministry of Defense has confirmed that height restrictions on new recruits are set to be lifted, following a review by the armed forces and changes from police forces.

Minister Margarita Robles confirmed that the current rules surrounding minimum and maximum heights looks set to be lifted ahead of the next enrolement period later this year.

Current rules state that someone below 155 centimetres and above 203 centimetres are ineligible to sign up to join the armed forces.
