Ex-Transport Minister José Luis Ábalos Remains Free Amid Corruption Allegations

Former Transport Minister – José Luis Ábalos – will not face remand despite allegations of irregular income, as Supreme Court judge Leopoldo Puente found insufficient risk of flight.

Instead, he faces restrictions including a travel ban and periodic court appearances as the Koldo case continues.

Ábalos decided not to testify during the latest hearing, stating he felt vulnerable due to disagreements with his lawyer.

Mr Ábalos denies any wrongdoing.
