Pedro Sánchez Commits to Tackling Housing Inequality in Congress

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has stated that his government is dedicated to combating housing inequality

In yesterday’s session at the Congress of Deputies, he highlighted that sixty per cent of inequality is due to housing access issues and noted the involvement of local governments in the solution.

To address the housing crisis, Sánchez mentioned increased budgets and a new state housing plan, as well as measures aimed at regulating tourist apartments, which have seen the removal of fifty-two thousand apartments from digital platforms and the establishment of a Unique Register of Tourist Housing.
