Final extension to state of alarm being investigated by Government
A possible final extension to the state of alarm has been proposed by deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo.
Preparatory discussions with opposition parties is currently planned, to explore political support for a final extension of the state of alarm until the end of June.
Speaking at an appearance at the Commission for Social and Economic Reconstruction in the Congress of Deputies, Ms Calvo said that should there not be sufficient support for an extension, other options including a decree-law could be brought into effect whilst the country returns to normality.
