End date set for end of quarantine results in tourism shares rocketing
Shares in tourism companies has soared after the latest update on the removal of quarantine measures for tourists arriving in Spain from July.
Tui’s share value almost doubled, whilst Iberia and British Airways parent group IAG saw share prices rise by 22.5%. EasyJet and Ryanair also saw rises of 19.3% and 12% respectively.
The Government has confirmed that foreign visitors to Spain will no longer have to undergo a two-week quarantine from 1 July, after coming to agreement during a meeting on Monday.
