New Orihuela cycle path to open early

The new Orihuela-Montepinar bike path is due to open to cyclists in the next few weeks, almost a month ahead of schedule.

Mayor of Orihuela, Emilio Bascuñana, visited the site of the new route yesterday to observe the works being carried out along the route.

The 2KM route will be fully paved, with clear separation between road and cycle traffic, as well as enhanced drainage along the route.

It is expected that the new path will be opened on Sunday 15th August.
