Further restrictions introduced across Costa Blanca as coronavirus cases continue to rise

Further restrictions on gatherings of people are to come into force today following on from an announcement by regional president Ximo Puig at the weekend.

Only 2 people from separate households will be permitted to meet in public areas unless under specific reasons, and restrictions on movement around large urban areas will come into force on weekends and public holidays.

Valencia, Alicante, Elche, Castellón, Torrevieja, Orihuela, Gandía, Benidorm, Alcoy and Vila-real are among the areas that will see controls on those who can enter or leave on weekends, with restrictions in place from 3pm on Friday until 6am the following Monday.
