Alicante Tram network sees first month on month traffic increase since start of pandemic

Passenger numbers on Alicante’s tram network has seen an increase of 11.84% last month, compared to the same period the year before.

588,000 journeys were made on the network last month, the first time that passenger numbers rose month on month since the start of the pandemic.

Line 2 saw the highest number of journeys, followed by Line 1. Line 3 came in third position. Luceros station saw the highest number of passengers pass through with a total of 88,000 people using the stop, followed by Mercado and Sant Vicent del Raspeig.
