Tidal surge causes damage in Menorca

A metre and a half high tidal surge, called a rissaga, has caused localised flooding and minor damage in Menorca.

The beach in Cala en Blanes was flooded, and sea water reached street level in Ciutadella.

Minor damage was also reported in Alcudia and Andratx.
