Horror director Wes Craven has died

Horror film director Wes Craven has died, aged 79.

The director has been credited with re-creating the teen horror genre in the 1980’s and 1990’s with hits such as Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream.

Stars of his films, as well as fans of his work, paid tribute to the director, who passed away after a long battle with brain cancer.
