Spanish authorities ask for clarity after oil tanker raided off of Gibraltar
A diplomatic incident is brewing between Madrid and London, after an Iranian super oil tanker was seized by British Royal Marines off of the coast of Gibraltar.
About 16 Royal Gibraltar Police officers were also involved in the mission following suspicions the tanker, named Grace 1, was breaching EU sanctions.
However, Foreign Secretary, Josep Borrell, has said that the Spanish Government was looking into the seizure of the ship as it may have happened in Spanish waters. Authorities have not ruled out lodging a formal complaint.
