Venezuelan former spy chief to be extradited to the United States

The high court has ruled that Venezuela’s former spy chief, Hugo Carvajal, should be extradited to the United States.

Mr Carvajal faces charges of drug trafficking and collaborating with Colombia’s Farc terrorist group.

The decision came after the interior ministry refused asylum to the former intelligence head.

He denies all the charges against him.
