Twelve arrested in Naples for luxury‑watch robberies targeting tourists in Spain
Italian police have arrested twelve members of a criminal network accused of stealing high‑value luxury watches from tourists in Spain.
The group allegedly operated in Barcelona, Marbella and Ibiza, selecting wealthy visitors and carrying out rapid street robberies before fleeing to Italy.
Investigators say the watches were resold in Naples through intermediaries linked to organised crime.
The arrests follow a joint operation involving Spanish and Italian authorities, who say further inquiries are under way.
