Traffic congestion expected during the return of summer holidays

The DGT is launching a special operation to manage the return of holidaymakers this weekend, with an expected six million, eight hundred and twenty thousand long-distance journeys expected to take place between now and the 3rd September.

Traffic intensity and congestion will be high on Friday afternoon, and Sunday evening.

The DGT recommends planning journeys in advance, avoiding peak travel times, and ensuring vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices.
