The Popular Party Criticises Prime Minister’s Refusal to Testify

The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has expressed disappointment that Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez did not testify before a judge regarding his wife’s alleged misconduct. Feijóo claims Sánchez will need to answer to the Spanish people for his actions. Feijóo’s comments followed a press conference where his party’s spokesperson, Miguel Tellado, expressed that Sánchez’s refusal to cooperate raises suspicion regarding his actions. Tellado suggested that the Prime Minister missed an opportunity to demonstrate his innocence and has now acknowledged his inability to provide explanations for events occurring at the Moncloa Palace over recent years.
The Popular Party is calling for accountability from the government and insists that Sánchez must face the implications of the corruption allegations affecting not only his family but also his party and the government as a whole.
