Spanish police seize 1.8 tons of crystal meth linked to Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel

Policia Nacional have seized 1.8 tonnes of crystal meth in Alicante, marking Spain’s largest-ever crystal meth confiscation.

The operation disrupted the Mexican Sinaloa Cartel’s distribution network in Europe, with five arrests, including a Mexican national running the cartel’s operation in Spain.

The drugs, hidden in vehicles and machinery, were intended for central Europe.

Police have said that this investigation has significantly disrupted Spain’s role as an entry point for drugs into Europe.
