Spanish government declares areas affected by wildfires as catastrophe zones

The Spanish government has declared multiple areas affected by severe wildfires as catastrophe zones, including affected areas in Tenerife, Andalucía, Castilla y León, Comunidad Foral de Navarra, Castilla-La Mancha, Comunidad Valenciana, and Extremadura.

These wildfires have caused significant damage, with the wildfires in Tenerife alone resulting in eighty point four million euros worth of damage and over fifteen thousand hectares destroyed.

Although there were no fatalities or severe injuries, more than twenty-two thousand people had to be evacuated and infrastructure was temporarily disrupted in various locations.
