Spanish Football Federation Calls For President To Resign Over Controversial Kiss

The Spanish football federation is calling for its president Luis Rubiales to resign after he kissed player Jenni Hermoso on the lips following Spain’s victory in the Women’s World Cup final.

The federation believes this has damaged the image of Spanish football and is also calling for a restructuring of positions within the organization.

The news came the same day as Spanish prosecutors confirmed they have opened inquiries into the kiss, as it may be considered sexual harassment.

In their announcement of the investigation, they confirmed that Jenni Hermoso has fifteen days to file a formal complaint if she chooses to do so.
