Spanish and British PM’s hold call to discuss Gibraltar’s relationship with the EU
The Spanish and British Prime Ministers held calls yesterday where they agreed to close an agreement on Gibraltar’s relationship with the European Union as soon as possible.
During the call, both Pedro Sanchez and Rishi Sunak agreed on the importance of negotiations for a treaty on the British Overseas Territory, with both leaders saying an agreement will help in areas such as security, cultural ties and the economy.
It’s understood Rishi Sunak initiated the call this week, with a further two meetings due to be held between the leaders in the coming months.
