Spain’s Tourism Hits New Record with Increased Visitor Spending

Spain welcomed 5.1 million international tourists in January, setting a new monthly record.

Tourists spent 7.1 billion euros, reflecting an 8.9% year on year increase.

The United Kingdom remains the leading source of visitors, with the Canary Islands and Catalonia among the top destinations.

France followed as the second largest contributor with six hundred forty-one thousand tourists, while Germany saw a slight decrease with five hundred thirty-seven thousand visitors.
