Spain sees rise in international visitors in March

Spain welcomed 6.8 million international visitors in March — up 3.3% on last year.

The National Statistics Institute says arrivals in the first quarter reached 17.5 million, an increase of 2.5%.

The United Kingdom remains the largest source of visitors, followed by Germany and France.

Hotel stays and other paid accommodation rose, while non-market lodging fell.
