Spain pledges €1.129 billion donation to Ukraine for armament under new security agreement

Spain has pledged to donate €1.1 billion to Ukraine, earmarked specifically for armament, under a new security agreement.

The pledge includes Patriot missiles for Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defence, marking significant support against ongoing Russian threats.

The announcement came at the start of the first visit by Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski’s to Madrid, symbolising the strengthening of bilateral relations between Spain and Ukraine.
