Average pension in Spain increases by 5% to 1,254.3 euros

The average pension in Spain has risen by 5% to €1,254 this month, amid a €12.7bn monthly payroll, equating to eleven point five percent of GDP.

Retirement pensions constitute 73.1% percent of this total.

The number of pensioners has reached 9.2 million, with a 1.3% annual increase in pensions.

The gender gap supplement also continues to benefit over 750,000 women.
