PP and Sumar Join Forces in Congress

PP and Sumar have voted together in Congress, side-lining PSOE, placing strain between both PSOE and Sumar – who have a confidence and supply agreement in the Spanish parliament.

Sumar’s abstention allowed the PP’s initiative on arms shipments oversight to pass, whilst PP supported Sumar’s proposal against abusive mortgage clauses.

This unexpected alliance has caused confusion among coalition partners, whilst far-right party Vox has voiced their concern after being politically aligned with PP.
