Pedro Sanchez launches last ditch attempt to gain agreement from Podemos
Acting prime minister Pedro Sanchez will lay out plans tomorrow, that he hopes will convince the far-left Unidos Podemos party to support his last-ditch attempt to form a government – and avoid a repeat election.
The PSOE leader announced his plan during an interview with a national paper over the weekend.
PSOE won the General Election in April, but failed to secure a majority. Sanchez also failed to secure the investiture vote in July, and has until the 23rd of this month to win a confidence vote, otherwise Spain will return to the polls in November.
