Supreme Court rejects Koldo’s request for release
The Supreme Court has rejected a request for provisional release from Koldo García, the former adviser at the centre of the pandemic mask‑contract case.
Judges ruled that the risk of flight persists, noting that García has access to significant financial resources and international contacts.
The decision comes at the end of the trial, with the court now preparing its verdict.
García’s defence had argued that continued detention was no longer justified, but magistrates said the conditions that led to his remand remain unchanged.
