Santos Cerdán remanded in custody
The former secretary of PSOE – Santos Cerdán – has been placed on remand without bail following his appearance yesterday at the Supreme Court.
Judge Leopoldo Puente raised concerns regarding the potential destruction of evidence related to allegations of involvement in a bribery scheme linked to public contracts.
Investigators are following allegations he demanded funds from construction companies to be favoured in public contracts.
His detention is all part of the ongoing Koldo case, which is investigating the dealings of former minister José Luis Ábalos and his advisor Koldo García.
All deny any wrongdoing.
