Around 80 Policia Nacional officers will be taking part in the security operation for this years La Vuelta.
Officers will be tasked with securing the course of the nationwide cycle race, as well as securing athletes areas and performing doping tests on cyclists.
The race began on Saturday in Malaga, and continues until the 16th September, where it comes to a close in Madrid.
