Manuela Chavero Murder Case: Eugenio Delgado Sentenced to 15 Years Imprisonment for Sexual Assault and Life Sentence Reviewable for Murder
The man found guilty of the murder of Manuela Chavero in 2016 has been handed a full life sentence as his trial came to an end this week.
Eugenio Delgado has been sentenced to a minimum of fifteen years imprisonment, but has been warned he may spend the rest of his life behind bars.
The Provincial Court of Badajoz also handed down an additional period in jail for a sexual assault conviction, as well as a fine of over half a million euros which is to be paid to the victims family.
Manuela Chavero was killed in Monesterio, Badajoz, in July 2016, in what officers called a sexually motivated attack.
