Spanish authorities arrest two individuals for smuggling historical coins from Morocco using forged documents

Policia Nacional in have arrested two individuals in Barcelona and Madrid for attempting to smuggle historical Moroccan coins into the country.

The operation involved fake documentation to launder money and forge documents.

Authorities seized 113 silver and four gold coins in the crackdown.

The investigation began just over a year ago following a tip-off from Moroccan officials.
